"The good life is a process, not a state of being. It is a direction, not a destination."

Carl Rogers

People use counselling for many different reasons; feelings of sadness or loss are not the only times people seek it out.

Working in collaboration with a counsellor can be a way to discuss topics or talk through thoughts that may be difficult to voice in other settings.

Testimonials

1. "A light in the dark at a difficult time. My experience with Lucy was both comforting and challenging simultaneously. Lucy offers a safe, relaxed environment to help you find your own way and explore whatever you want to or need to. My experience with Lucy was life changing."

2. "I first met Lucy at the beginning of 2020. I was struggling with the loss of a loved one and didn't know how to deal with it. The scariest part was that I thought I had dealt with it some time ago by storing it at the back of my mind, but I hadn't and I was extremely sad. I didn't know where to turn and felt that counselling was my last hope.
I had never been to counselling before and was worried that it might somehow make me appear as weak, but I realise now by not going to see someone made me a lot weaker. Lucy was recommended to me by a friend and was based a few miles away from where I live which was nice as I felt like I was getting away from my problems.
As soon as I met Lucy I felt comfortable and safe which was just what I needed. I felt like I had known her for years. She listened to my story and I never once felt like she judged me. I felt like she completely understood me and most of all she made me feel like I wasn't going mad, which at the time I thought I was.
Lucy has helped me so much and I can never thank her enough. She is amazing at what she does and I would recommend her to anyone."
